Our NIL Projects
Illini helping Illini: Chi-Positive Impact
When Illini guard Tracy Abrams (’17) finished his playing career with the third most games played in Illini history, he then set about giving back to the Chicago communities that have given the Illini so much.
Tracy founded Chi-Positive-Impact, a Chicago organization working with Chicago public grade schools to provide students mentoring, coaching, and an ever-growing series of programs to promote training, leadership and life skills that enable and empower the over 200 children currently served by Chi-Positive Impact.
With your contributions, the Iliini Guardians will create an ongoing series of NIL contracts to allow University of Illinois student athletes to make personal appearances at Chi-Positive-Impact events, and give their own leadership, coaching, mentoring and life-lessons to those grade school children in Tracy’s programs.
Through our creation of NIL contracts with University of Illinois student athletes, Illini Guardians will allow student athletes to receive compensation for lending their talents, their stories and their time to help build the power of Chi-Positive-Impact and create deeply rooted and positive experiences for both mentors and mentees. We need your help to fuel the NIL opportunities that will allow Illinois athletics to compete and thrive!
